Examining the Case

This page and the pages that follow will walk you through a discussion of how I have analyzed a particular turfgrass management problem. I would like you to pay particular attention to two things: 1) how turfgrass experts approach turfgrass management problems; i.e., identify factors associated with a problem, of how they relate to one another; and 2) how to represent these problems both graphically and with narrative. I will expect you to perform these same tasks as you tackle the problems in this course. The model that follows will lead you through the analytical process.
