Construction Site
The setting for the golf course is pristine. While most of it was farmland, it has a variable topography with numerous trees, lakes and ravines. The natural shape of the landscape was largely preserved as only 300,000 cubic yards of earthwork were cut and filled, except for 100,000 cubic yards of topsoil that was stripped and then replaced after contouring. The entire 300-acre site is and will always be devoid of residential or other commercial developments. As Mr. McConnell does not like crowds, membership is by invitation only; eventually, it is expected to reach up to, but not exceeding, 40 local and 200 national members.
