The automatic irrigation system is being constructed entirely with Toro 650-series valve-in-head, electrically controlled sprinklers arranged around greens and tees, and in multiple rows with 75-ft. triangular spacing on fairways. The control system includes three separate field clock-type controllers covering greens, tees and fairways on the front nine holes, and three additional controllers for the back nine holes plus the "bye" hole. The drainage system is being constructed with herringbone designs for all greens and sandtraps; 10-ft. sections of rigid, perforated, 4-inch PVC pipe are spaced 10-ft. apart in each of these designs. Catch basins were constructed in all low areas in the fairways and roughs. All herringbone drainage systems and all catch basins will be connected to non-perforated, 6-inch or 8-inch main lines that conduct drainage water to one of the three lakes or to the many streams running through the golf course.
