Hole #18
The eighteenth hole is a 556-yard par 5 with a slight dogleg to the right. As the fairway slopes from left to right, most golf shots are played to the left to avoid having the ball roll into the right rough; thus, the left rough receives most of the cart traffic. With the
average width of the rough between the #18 fairway and a line of evergreen trees (to its left) being less than 25 ft., the left rough
receives especially heavy traffic. At the far end of the fairway, a sandtrap situated immediately in front of the green forces cart traffic onto a narrow section of rough between the trap and the fairway resulting in
severe wear
of the turf.
