Branch Manager

Pontiac's branch manager is Hank Thomas. While Pontiac is one of Lawn Pro's well-established branches, Hank has been its manager for only one year. At age 30, and with eight years in the company (six as a lawn specialist and two as an assistant manager), Hank is one of Lawn Pro's youngest managers. Unfortunately, Hank's experience as an assistant manager was under Sid Bosworth, an early employee with Lawn Pro whose favorite expression when dealing with personnel problems was "my way or the highway." As a consequence, the management style adopted by Hank during his apprenticeship under Sid can best be described as autocratic. Also, because he has not adapted well to to the challenges and stresses of his new position, Hank tends to compensate for his insecurity through abrupt and frequently inconsiderate treatment of the branch's employees.
