Many problems encountered in the turfgrass culture are directly related to mistakes or omissions made during establishment. Severe weed infestations, disease, poor drainage, scalping, and intolerance of stress may reflect unfavorable site conditions or improper turfgrass selection, planting procedures and postplanting culture. In this series, the focus will be on site preparation.
